Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
Early Years Education
Children start school aged 4 at the Dingle and enter into the Reception Class. The curriculum provided aims to develop the whole child so that pupils reach their Early Learning Goals and have a Good Level of Development when they Transition into Year 1. The curriculum that is taught is derived from the document Development Matters. By following the link to Development Matters, you will be able to see what the curriculum involves.
The curriculum covers:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
All children are expected to cover the curriculum in full.
