Pupil Voice (School Council)

Welcome to The Dingle's Pupil Voice page. Here you can keep up to date with all of our news and any ongoing projects which might be happening throughout the school year. These may include changes and improvements around school and in the playground; charity events, school fundraisers and other exciting things.

Who is the Pupil Voice?

The Pupil Voice consists of representatives from Years 2 to 6. Each year group has two councillors. The Pupil Voice will meet at least twice over a half term. They listen to whole school issues from their peers and feed back to the group. They also take any ideas and issues brought up during the weekly meetings and share them with their classes.

Current Topics

We have raised over £300 for Children in Need.

We have been involved with the local village parade to lay a poppy wreath. We helped to sell poppy merchandise and rasied £313.00 in sales.

Green Flag Award

Over Autumn term we have been focusing on Energy. So far we have introduced 'switch off' monitors in each class, held a 'switch off' hour lesson and started to involve pupils in taking the meter readings. We will continue to monitor this as the year progresses. We are hoping to look at healthy living during Spring Term.

Information Board

Pupil Voice meetings are held in Mrs Hayhurst's classroom.

If you have any ideas or concerns that you wish to be raised at our meetings then please talk to one of the councillors. There is a notice board in the school hall which tells you who they are.
